Lesson 15: Noun Subjects
So far, pronouns have filled the subject slot between the tense marker and the verb. This lesson introduces noun subjects (names), which shift to after the verb, require the focus marker ʻa, and bring the tense marker forms naʻe and ʻe into use.
When the subject is a pronoun, it goes between the tense marker and the verb:
