Lesson 4: Time Words

Sentences built so far describe actions but not when they happen. This lesson adds time words to place events at specific moments: yesterday, tomorrow, last night, tonight.

The word ʻanepō (last night) sits at the end of the sentence. Everything before it (the tense marker, pronoun, verb, and object talo (taro)) stays exactly as you learned it. The time word attaches to the end.
